Ingredients & Equipment
You will need:
20g fresh medium-grind Encanto Coffee
Filtered or bottled water
V60 Kit
Drip scale (or a measuring jug and V60 scoop if you don’t have them)
V60 Filters
A server with a plastic handle.
Tip
This is a guide on how to make two cups. If you're making one, halve everything.
Ingredients
20g Encanto Coffee
-
Prepare the Equipment: Place the V60 dripper on your cup or carafe and insert a filter. Rinse the filter with hot water to remove any paper taste and preheat the equipment. Discard the rinse water.
-
Measure and Grind Coffee: Use 15-20 grams of Encanto Coffee (about 1-2 tablespoons) per 250ml of water. Grind the coffee to a medium-fine consistency, like table salt.
-
Add Coffee: Place the ground coffee into the filter and give the V60 a gentle shake to level the grounds.
-
Bloom: Start your timer and pour enough hot water (92-96°C or 198-205°F) to wet all the grounds, about twice the weight of the coffee. Let it sit for 30-45.
-
Brew: Slowly pour the rest of the water in a circular motion, avoiding the edges of the filter. Pour steadily over 2-3 minutes until you’ve added the total water.
-
Serve: Once the dripping stops, remove the V60.
